How I cracked it:
1. I decompiled the plugin and saw it was obfuscated
2. I deobfuscated it and found the protection
3. I compiled another plugin with some methods that were similar to the plugin I was cracking and copied the bytecode
4. I removed all the bytecode for the protection method and pasted the other bytecode so it would just register the events and I then added some couple print statements.
5. Profit
