500m combat setup?

so currently i want to get into combat and i am confused between if i should go mage or melee,i will do dungeons,slayer and crimson isle content.i already have burning vet mana pool aurora but i can get crimson with good attributes too.i want something that can do f7 comfortably and also be able to do crimson isle content(as in minibosses,faction quests and abit of early game fishing) and also is good for slayers.
