A drop not being displayed in the chat does not mean that it is not affected by magic find, or vice versa.

I have seen some misconceptions about what drops are affected by magic find lately. One of these is that if a drop is not displayed in the chat as "RARE DROP!" then it is not affected by magic find and if it is displayed then it is. This, as well as the fact that looting and chance now works on almost every drop (exceptions seem to be slayer drops and pet drops) makes people doubt whether the bestiary drop rates are correct or not.
