The main way to avoid a rat is well.... not downloading mods from untrusted places.
But hypixel players are very special and have to defy that.
Therefore, here is my guide on how to avoid R.A.Ts when installing mods.
Step 1. When downloading, if anyone asks you for an code in an email sent to you from microsoft, ignore the email and DO NOT give out the code.
The code will give them full access to your account.
Step 2. Once you have acquired any mod, submit it in a rat checker.
