Why do people put signs that say "Hall is real" in all caps on billboards at the side of highways?

Do you really think that's an effective way of conveying your message?
I can't see people converting to -Redacted- purely because a sign on the side of a highway told them to do so. It's not personal at all in any way, and frankly it could lessen their view of it, making them think that evangelists are resorting to advertisements in such a crude format.
