Any recommended "begginer" guides to get up to speed? returning player after 3 years

I have a pretty good profile with 400m coins (mainly from minions left on over the years), but i have no idea whats going on in this game anymore.. pretty sure i quit when dungeons were released which leaves me very behind. I'd like to return to the game as i have nothing else to play atm, so i'd love if there was a good recent guide out there, that explains all the new stuff and how to progress now.

Also, should i just create a new profile? or try to do something with all the coins, i feel...
