Can ferocity be added to total damage and not be a separate hit

Ferocity is killing server tps, probably because it's entirely new hit with a bunch of entities spawning, so can it be made so it adds to the total damage, while keeping the sound when it procs
I doubt visuals are too important, while server tps is, especially in ci
