This is just normal counting. Double counts are not allowed. You have to count by the given amount.
The twist is that you have to double the previous number. Here’s an example (where players are P1, P2, P3, and P4):
P1: 1
P2: 2
P3: 4
P2: 8
P3: 16
P2: 32
P3: 64
P4: 128
P3: 256
P2: 512
P1: 1024
And so on
