Data stat limit for saved data?

Hi, so im looking to find out if the stat limit is for every single veriable that i make or is it only for thoes that get saved.

Lets say the limit is the usual 20
Would i be able to make 50 veriables that dont save after players leave? Would these also be included in the stat limit or only the ones that are saved for a period of time?
