 | This discussion has been had many times but I believe it must be put to rest. As far as I’ve seen on this subreddit Deepslate Coal is more rare than Deepslate Emerald. I believe this isn’t the case. Coal can spawn in all overworld biomes. Inversely, Deepslate Emerald can only generate in Mountains and Windswept Hills. Coal can spawn in large veins, emeralds generate in a single ore. Pictures below of the amount of deepslate coal I’ve found in a single day in one cave. After reading about the many, seemingly collective misconception I had to rant and post this. Sorry in advance for the quality of the first three pictures.
