FoT does too much dmg to me

so i just got a FoT and i was rly excited, until I tested it and realized it took chunks out of my hp too fast
I'm dying from the FoT faster then the mobs

SO WHAT DO I DO?!?! SHOULD I CHUCK IT INTO THE VOID?? SELL?? KEEP?? NEVER LOOK AT IT AGAIN??
suggestions to regen more hp would be appreciated
