how 2 use attribute fusion

I know attributes have been out for a while and whatnot but say for example I have a decent crimson chestplate that has good upgrades. The 2 attributes are utterly horrible and I found a cheap one on the ah that has 2 good attributes. How would I completely change the 2 bad ones for the 2 good ones while keeping the upgrades, cause to my knowledge you can only fuse with 1 common attribute
