How to make inventory clear but not drop on death

So when people dies in my Pvp, i want them to lose their items but the items should not be dropped.

How do I do this? For my OP players it already works, but on the normal players, the items get dropped.

I have worldguard flag (item-drop deny) so that doesn't seem to solve it unless it needs some modification.

Do anyone have the solution for this?
