base weapon damage has always been an important part of any melee or ranged build, it is the stat that all other damage stats build off, and, it is the reason shadow fury is better than giants sword in dungeons until say cata 32, when you immediately sell that juju or sf for a term or else face the wrath or party finder, and even outside of dungeons sf is still better then gs. Now why is it better then gs, is it any of the stats? no its actually an upgrade, well...
