I have played minecraft pretty much since it first came out, saw ever major update and grew up playing it every single day for most of my childhood and teenage years. My fiance on the other hand, has never played it, but would love to play it and asked me to help him get into it.
The problem is: I do not know how. I am so accustomed to minecraft that I genuinely dont know how to go about teaching someone the basics of the game, as every aspect of the game is almost a routine for me at this point. Would it even be a good thing to teach him how to play? Wouldn’t it take away from the magic of figuring out how to survive your first night, or how to craft your first tools?
Don’t get we wrong, I am overjoyed with the fact that my future husband wants to play minecraft with me, I just don’t know how to go about it to not spoil it for him.
Should I start with teaching him the controls and then let him do his thing for a while, and only help when he asks me to?
Should I play the most recent version with him, or an older one thats less complex so its less overwhelming?
He’s a very creative person, and usually doesn’t like to grind recourses and strays away from typical survival games (he spends all his time in animal crossing picking weeds, bless him). With that in mind, should I introduce him to Minecraft with a survival or a creative world?
Please help me make this a nice and enjoyable experience for him and tell me what you guys think would be important to keep in mind when introducing someone to minecraft!
