Importing smilies into existing smilie category

We need to import a large group of smilies. When I tried doing this I noticed it wanted me to select a smilie category for each one during the import process, one by one. This is just not feasible for us currently given the high smilie count. Can anyone advise if there is a way to import them directly into an existing smilie category?
