So a few years ago my science class was reviewing atomic weight. One of the elements we looked at had a weight of __.45
Now we had to round this weight to the nearest non-decimal number. Most of the class rounded it down. Why? Because that's how you round these kinds of things.
My science teacher proceeded to tell the class that you round the .05 up to .1 and then now the weight is __.5 so it rounds up to 46 instead of down to 45 or smth like that.
