Length of time to keep removed content - option for how long to keep soft deleted posts? Restore, recover, get back.

Is content that is soft-deleted by mods, or self-deleted by users/members kept forever? I thought I had seen an option that specifies how long it's kept for. But after some searching I may have been confusing it for the editHistory option which defines how long logs are kept for. https://xenforo.com/community/threads/how-do-you-delete-history-of-edits.181447/
