No, Ironman is not designed specifically to be a harder gamemode (+ issues I've had with the gamemode)

I know that title sounds kind of outlandish, but hear me out

As of recently, I've seen the widespread arguement of, "Well, you shouldn't have chosen ironman if you wanted your grinds to be reasonable." or "Well, you chose the harder gamemode, so you should have a harder time getting money." And as I see these arguements appear more and more frequently, the more repetitive and played out they get.
