imo they had more skill and were much more fun to use (spam r/lc vs throwing 4 different weapons and then swapping with different weapons to deal more dmg) they made archer progression waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. rn its something like hurricane/venoms/machine gun --> Juju --> term. There isn't really anything in between juju and term but with bonemerangs you had a certain amount of bonemerangs up to four being optimal and an OFA weapon and a death bow which you could upgrade...
