There have been many posts about this, and recently Jayavarman said this about the changes
while i'm glad to see that admins are making sure OFA isn't really dead, Ofa needs a bigger rework than this.
Ofa should not be entirely additive, not should it be entirely multiplicative. By changing it to +500 damage, it supports some weapons like flower of truth (which deserves a buff in it's own right, just not like this) while leaving behind currently meta weapons like giant's sword...
