WHY PIXPLANT?
A good photo of a surface can invoke feelings and in a certain sense "tell its story". Think about a photo of an old wall with cracked paint, of the rust on a corroded metal door, of an old wood bench marked by decades of wind. With all their stories and imperfections these real-life surfaces are intrinsically more interesting than procedural textures and they are often at the distance of a simple photo.
