Plugin to make Java boats float up 1 block?

Hi, I'm looking for a plugin or someway to edit the world without using mods nor actually changing the terrain, that can make boats on java float instead of sink when going up water, mainly for use in rivers so players can go upstream.
I know java used to do this before it changed some versions ago, and I've just found out Bedrock still uses the float mechanic, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a plugin that just uses that, but for java? Or something that does a similar effect?
