Private Island Foraging reaches dropped Item Limit

Hi,
so for Derpy i was doing a bit of Private Island Foraging, when from time to time the message about reaching the max amount of dropped items on the private island came up (which is 2000 I think).
The Problem was/is that whenever the message pops up I cant receive the Enchanted Bone Meal or Sapling from the Dispensers.
There are no blocks under the Foraging construction so all items should drop into the void.

Does anyone know why this happens and perhaps how you can prevent it?
