Question about the slayer rngmeter

If you select a drop that you have more xp than it requires and get the guaranteed drop, does the meter fully reset, or does it only minus out the xp it takes for that item to drop? So like, if I have 700k xp on my zombie slayer rngmeter and select a drop like revenant viscera and get the guaranteed drop, will my xp meter go back to 0 or will it just be 700k - 3631?
