The Ancient City is the hardest, but at the same time the easiest "dangerous" location in the game.

I know that I was two years late with such a post, but I sincerely want to share my love for this game structure. Especially at a time when fans of the game tear each other up, and then tear developers together because of mobs.

So, the Ancient City itself is an incredibly large and beautiful structure that has some lore of the Minecraft world, as well as quite useful loot (especially after rebalancing 1.21 (?)). However, what I particularly like about this structure is how my gameplay is built in it and how it rewards for it. For a beginner, the Ancient City may seem not only a frightening place, but also almost impossible to explore. The same Warden, for example, is an ultimate weapon for destruction, and even if you find a way to defeat it, the resources and time spent will not be worth it, even if you come there with a full diamond armor and a bunch of enchanted weapons. However, at the same time, the Ancient City tells you which approach to it will be the best. He does this through two things - wool floors on the walls that do not let vibrations through; and loot in chests that also give some insight and tools (hoe, enchanted pants, snowballs and regeneration potions).

And you can't imagine my pleasure when I realized the subtlety of this structure. If earlier I was afraid to even come close to it, now the search for an Ancient City and its plundering is almost the first thing I do in my survival. You don't need armor, weapons, or even torches and snowballs - a couple of blocks of wool, and this whole city is in your hands. So moreover, it is often possible to easily find the same Diamonds or Gold behind the Skulk blocks, and without fear of getting hit or being blown up - it is banal not to spawn mobs in the territory of Deep Dark. All this, coupled with the experience gained from the game and from the game, makes being in the Ancient City almost a meditative activity, which gives a lot of pleasure. For me, it's even somewhat similar to Archaeology, only with a more cunning approach - you get a decent reward by being more careful. Don't break blocks, don't hit mobs, don't try to provoke, and you'll get what you wanted, and even more.

I really hope that Mojang will continue the trend with unique gameplay in various structures. The same mines, mansions and even bastions are often traversed either by the destruction of all by the enemy, or by gnawing out secret paths through walls and floors. The Ancient City and the Trails Ruins are a completely different matter, and every time I find them, I don't feel tense or tired, because every time I have to change my habitual behavior to something else at least a little bit. Thank you for reading to the end. I immediately apologize for the grammar, English is not my native language.
