Since whale gives 20% more health and 5% of your health as defense, if you had health to defense in a 2:1 ratio, say 2000 health and 1000 defense, then you would have 2400 health and 1100 defense after whale, which is basically a 32% ehp increase. However, turtle gives 30% more defense and 10% more if standing still, which means you would have 2000 health and 1400 defense (when standing still) which is a 40% ehp increase, and a 30% ehp increase when moving.
