![]() | Wanted to make a castle out of basalt but am now lost on the style of the build as well as the quantity of basalt in the build. I thought the covered mountain walls would look great being of the same block as the castle (polished basalt) (picture 2) but now tore most of them down (1) due to it being "too much". Picture 3 shows what I originally had in mind - the actual walls would start after the layer of pale oak slabs so I had a layer of polished basalt before the actual walls - but I cannot make it not look like the lower level is a part of the actual castle's walls. Should I just leave it bare and build a castle on top or is there a trick to make the two stand out from each other? The original reason for the added walls was to blend the castle into the mountain to make it look more fortified, so far I have not succeeded in that feeling. submitted by /u/yomamadestroyer69 [link] [comments] |
