very late take on the dye update

tl;dr at the top, i would completely unironically be for non-animated dyes being removed straight up
the current system in place for dyes would be completely rejected if added today instead of being a legacy feature we glance over

the only reason as to why dyes work the way they are is because the devs inexplicably thought that armor sets being colored a certain way is a big no no apparently even though it's completely harmless, if anything it makes for significantly better looking...
