You can only place a maximum of 10 Minions!

I played SkyBlock a while ago and have recently came back to it. I am aware that minion caps exist and right now mine is at 10 (per the message). The issue is I only have 9 minions placed but when I go to place the tenth the "You can only place a maximum of 10 Minions!" message pops up.
Please help.
