I recently play infection a lot for quest, and I found a tip if you are a survivor in the beginning of the game, you can tell if someone is the alpha or not by seeing their bow. I thought this was well-known already but somehow no one in my game knows so ig I'll say it here... (If you know already then bye!)
If you are not the alpha, you will get a bow, and you should shoot the bow at other players when the alpha's invincibility wear's off. BUT...
