Don't let others pressure you to play the "optimal way"

A short rant from someone who loves minecraft, but don't let others shame you into min-maxing the fun out of the game you want to play. I play a modded version of minecraft where it's most optimal to build at spawn because the chunks are always loaded, but the second I mention not building there, I'm immediately called a noob and told "well you obviously haven't made it far into the game, considering you know nothing". No, I understand the mechanic completely, but choose to ignore it because I want to build where I want to build. Whether its modded or unmodded minecraft, if people just want to build, let them build. If they want to speedrun the game, let them speedrun. No matter what it may be, just remember, at the end of the day, minecraft is a sandbox game where you can play however you want. We all love the game, so stop trying to force others to play your way.
