So in Mining v3 we got suspicious scraps, which can be found in mineshafts or bought for 500 Fossil Dust, the latter which is much less used, if you want scraps, you would just keep grinding mineshafts, all good, it's probably intended.
But then I remembered something, they sometime later made it so mining "quartz blocks" in the mineshafts (which are structured to be ribs pretty often, to indicate they're bones) you can get Fossil Dust too.
