For context, I'm a fairly young girl very new to Minecraft. This was my first survival world ever. I've been playing on it for about 4-5 months now, and racked up diamond tools, the nether, a pet strider, a town flag that I designed, and much more. This game has been my life for half a year.
Today while playing, I died in lava and lost all my items and got really mad, so I shut my laptop quickly and stepped away for a few hours. I came back to find myself at the spawn point and not at my bed. My spawn point was ages away from my base. I've been wandering for about 2.5 hours and still can't find it. I know a creeper didn't blow up my bed or something, because I was no where near home when i died. Needless to say, I think the world is dead.
I can't even look at the icon on my screen anymore without wanting to cry.
What do I do now? I think I want to take a long break (at least a few months) before starting back up again. Does anyone know what happened or how I can get it back?
