"If they add too many features they will overcomplicated the game" is a dumb excuse for the minimal updates.

While 1.21 and 1.20 were, in my opinion, pretty good updates, I believe that they could be much better. And while I could talk about quality, in this post I will talk about quantity. And I'm not the only one who thinks that Minecraft updates are small and shallow, and that these updates should be bigger.

But one argument I often hear is "well the game would be too cluttered if the updates were bigger" "Mojang can do bigger updates, they just don't want to. They could make an impressive update that would significantly improve the game, but they don't, so enjoy the game as it is". And this argument is just so, so dumb imo. Obviously, having this opinion is valid, but I strongly disagree with you.

And for one main reason: the game is already pretty complicated. Minecraft in general is a pretty complicated game, full of features that most players probably won't explore them in their entirety, and that's

OK. The game itself has a lot of clutter anyway. Don't believe me? When was the last time you had a pet parrot or a pet fox? When was the last time you've interacted with the Sniffer? How many of you use diorite, granite, and andesite frequently in your builds? How many of you have even tried the new archeology mechanic?

I'm just tired of people shutting down any kind of request for more complex updates, by just saying that the game needs to be simple, and having bigger updates would be way too much. Buddy, the game hasn't been simple since like 2013. In the past decade, Minecraft has added a lot of "Clutter". The problem is that a lot of this clutter has been pretty much forgotten by the entire community. Not thay many people have crafted Spyglass and Crossbow yet, like ever. Also the game is filled with the brim with mobs that pretty much don't do anything. So why doesn't Mojang add "Clutter" that's much beefier and much more ambitious? New Biomes like a Redwood and Wisteria Forest? New crops and plants. New mobs like butterflies and deers, that you can kill to get vineson. Maybe an oven or cooking pot that lets you cook meals that fill your hunger bar for longer periods of time.

"Well a beefy update like a good Farming or Nature Update is just too much man, it would overwhelm the players" no it won't. We've seen time and time again how updates like The Aquatic or The Village and Pillage update were welcome by the majority of people. If you can't handle more than 3 mobs and 2 blocks per update, that doesn't mean that we don't too. If you find the game too complicated, go and play in an older version and let us have an update that's less shallow and adds enough stuff to satisfy most people.

And I ain't saying that the more recent updates are bad , but shallow, and lack depth, leaving for untapped potential. Why didn't the Sniffer.... sniff more plants? Maybe new crops? Maybe expand on the archeology mechanic by adding more items that you could find, new or already existent. This is not me crapping on Mojang, but giving my take. Also I hope I didn't come off as a d!ck in this post, you can be transparent about it if so. Thank you for reading this
