question relating hacked accounts

I was locked out of my account about 5 months ago, and I suspect it was probably hacked, though I’m not entirely sure. My account still seems to have all my items intact, and the hacker (if it was indeed hacked) hasn't touched anything on the account. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to regain access to my account, and Microsoft hasn’t been helpful in resolving the issue.
