Skyblock will lose some of its content if it updates to a new version

There are some things in 1.8.9 that have been removed from the newer versions. For example the footstep particles seen in the Shadow enemies in the rift and the diana quest. And the sound effect that plays when using a katana. (that is an unused ghast sound effect).

What other things will be forced to be changed or removed in the hypotethical 1.20+ skyblock?
