Ive been feeling incredibly nostalgic lately, and wanted to get this off my chest and just show it all to someone.
I'm 17 years old. Here in a few months I'll be 18. I have a car, a job, responsibilites, and I have my future planned out.
But, this game was my childhood. My first video game that I got interested in was this one. I was 7 years old, playing on my cousin's PS3 every opportunity he would give me. He taught me how to play. I can't thank him enough. He only lived with us for a few years, but in that time he steered my entire childhood in a direction that I don't think couldve gone anywhere better. The memories playing with friends, sharing builds, having sleepovers and playing on the Xbox 360 all night, laughing and just having fun in this blocky world. Life was easy. Life was good. The amount of fun we had together was insane. And I spent a lot of free time building, having fun on my own. All the while, C418 played his heart away out of my little crappy TV speakers.
I dont play too often now, but I still occasionally watch videos on it. Every time I hear a piece of C418's music I get incredibly nostalgic and it takes me back to that simpler time. Sweden is my favorite, that song is just the epitome of my childhood. I don't feel like a kid anymore, so it's a bittersweet feeling. I cried a few nights ago laying in bed listening to Sweden, remembering the times long passed. But it's so beautiful to listen to.
I cant thank all of you in the community enough either. Without you guys, this game wouldn't be what it was or is. I'd give anything to go back in time and re-live my experiences. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all. This game and its community are truly beautiful.
